Delivery sequence
Identify the decision or outcome, the affected people and systems, important constraints, and the evidence that will define done.
Compare options, expose assumptions, narrow the work to the smallest sound boundary, and record consequential decisions.
Work in reviewable increments with automated checks, visible progress, and explicit handling of newly discovered risks.
Provide applicable source, infrastructure definitions, tests, operating instructions, and decision records so ownership is practical.
Working agreements
Specific tools vary, but the operating expectations below keep technical work reviewable and reduce avoidable surprises.
Important assumptions, alternatives, and tradeoffs are recorded near the work they affect.
Small increments, source control, and automated checks make progress easier to inspect and reverse.
Access gaps, data limitations, dependencies, and scope changes are raised while choices remain available.
Documentation and knowledge transfer are planned work, not cleanup left until the final day.
After delivery
A time-boxed post-launch period may cover defect triage, operational handoff, and knowledge transfer.
Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, 24/7 coverage and unlimited support are not included.
Frequently asked questions
Fit begins with the outcome, affected system, constraints, decision-makers, available evidence, and a boundary that can be reviewed and accepted. If those elements are too uncertain, a focused assessment may be the appropriate first engagement.
A qualified inquiry first receives a high-level written outline of scope, assumptions, responsibilities, and delivery approach. If detailed requirements or estimates require deeper discovery, that work is scoped before it begins.
The signed agreement controls ownership. For implementation work, the transition package is tailored to the accepted deliverables and includes enough technical and operating context for the client to maintain what was accepted.
The proposal defines decision-makers, review points, communication channels, and an appropriate cadence. Progress is shown through reviewable changes, verified outputs, surfaced risks, and documented decisions—not activity reporting alone.
Do not place credentials, regulated data, or other sensitive information in the public inquiry form. Any engagement that requires protected access should establish appropriate channels, permissions, and handling expectations before that information is shared.
Only when it is explicitly scoped. A transition period may cover agreed defect triage and handoff, while continuing maintenance, monitoring, on-call response, and new work require a separate written boundary.
